Welcome to the Pelvic Health physiotherapy Team (PHPT)
Are you pregnant and having problems with
- Pain in your back, pelvis, groin or hips (pelvic girdle pain)
- Sciatica (back, buttock and leg pain)
- Leaking wee (urinary incontinence)
- Difficulty controlling your wee (urine) or poo (bowels)
- Heaviness, dragging or bulge in your vagina (symptoms of pelvic organ prolapse)
- Tummy muscle separation (diastasis of rectus abdominis muscle)
- Pain, tingling or numbness in your hands (pregnancy-related carpal tunnel syndrome)
Or, do you have:
- A mum or sister who has incontinence (leaks wee or poo)
- A mum or sister with pelvic organ prolapse (heaviness, dragging or bulge in the vagina)
You can use MyPathway to self-refer to the PHPT at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals. If you are not already registered for MyPathway you will be directed to a page where you will be asked for your email address (so that we can tell you about your appointment) and to create a login password.
Once you have registered you will need to fill out the questionnaire about your details and reason for needing to see the PHPT.
When you have completed the self-referral questionnaire, your details will be reviewed by the PHPT and you will be sent an email asking you to make your first appointment or access information to help you manage your condition.
